About the choreographer and director
Appointed an official member of the Paris International Dance Council. Lulled from birth by Michael Jackson's songs that his parents listened to on repeat, it was at the age of 6 that he took his first dance steps, imitating his choreographies, which remain his greatest reference. Passionate about Hip Hop dance, he began teaching dance at the age of 17 at the Maison de la Jeunesse in Saint-Denis. Certain that he would make it his career, he went to casting after casting to secure the contracts that would take him from the shadows to the spotlight.
To improve and be versatile, Rickson follows training to be professional in most styles of dance: classical dance, modern jazz, popping, boogaloo, hip hop And he takes classes in street jazz, contemporary dance, modern jazz, tap at STUDIO HARMONIC and at the RICK ODUMS dance school in Paris (modern jazz). Professional also in music thanks to the training of record producer that he followed at the IRMA of Paris. Rickson took internships with the choreographer of Michael Jackson and Madonna.
Drawing on his extensive experience and trained by theater lecturer Youssef Haddad, in 2007 he created a musical comedy entitled "Love" for the Printemps des poètes at the University of Paris 8 and Paris 13, which was a real success. A true enthusiast, since May 2013, he has created a theater course at the Saint Denis youth center for the D'Auteuil Foundation.
He directed, wrote and choreographed a new romantic musical comedy entitled "Romuald and Smiralda" which was performed at the Théâtre de La Reine Blanche in Paris in March 2013. (Musical comedy selected for the Avignon Festival for 60 dates).
In 2012, he also appeared as an extra in the TV series "Dream of Me" for NRJ 12. In 2012, he created an intensive professional hip hop dance training program whose objective is to impart an excellent level of dance over a very short training period.
In 2011, Canal + cameraman York offered him an exclusive interview for the Grand Journal to talk about his job as a dancer/choreographer.
Production companies are now hiring him as a dancer and choreographer for Fabiola Shyne's international tour. He has also collaborated with Universal Music's American co-producer as a dancer and choreographer.

Rickson took a new step forward by founding the ListenBack dance school in 2009. As artistic director and choreographer, his mission is to share his passion and artistic skills to train the talents of tomorrow and produce amateur and professional artists.
