Modern jazz

Pierre Yves BRIVAL was born in Martinique. At the age of 5, he moved with his family and settled in Paris. He begins to study there ballet with Jacqueline Finaerts. Then, he specialized in Classical Dance with masters S.Mayer, Franchetti and A. Glegoski. Very quickly, he goes to Modern jazz with the masters Moise, U. Millard and Peter Goss.

In 1990 he moved to Italy and perfect the study of dance with international masters like V.Litvinov, R.Strainer, Denis Ganio, Billy Goodson and Roberto Salaorni. He has worked with several prestigious companies in opera house in rome. He participates in the show Aida as a soloist at the Sferisterio de Macerata theater directed by Hugo De Ana on a choreography by Leda Lojodice. But also during the Spoleto Festival in the creation “Perturbation”, an event dedicated to Frank Zappa.

In 1999, he was hired by Italian television RAI in the corps de ballet of many shows.
In 2000, he joined the corps of Rome Opera Ballet, directed by Carla Fracci. He is soloist in the “Rite of Spring” and “Till L'espiègle” original choreography by V.Nijinski in a new staging by Millicen Hoodson.

Modern jazz lessons for beginners 

He will also dance as a soloist at the Baths of Caracalla theater in the ballet "Jerusalem" choreographed by Luc Bui and directed by Beppe Menegatti. In 2003, he was awarded as the foreign performer in Italy at the Venus Prize broadcast on RAI 2.

Currently, Pierre-Yves BRIVAL teaches dance in France and abroad, where he also performs choreographies for different types of shows.
