About Professor Mahina KHANUM

Mahina Khanum is a dancer, choreographer and teacher of Indian, Bollywood and Odissi dances.

She was trained in traditional Odissi dance by Shankar Behera (Mumbai), and Madhavi Mudgal (New Delhi), after obtaining an excellence scholarship awarded by the Indian government.

She is also a graduate in Indian languages ​​and literatures (National Institute of Oriental Languages ​​and Civilizations, Paris). His work revolves around the promotion and transmission of Indian performing arts, emphasizing the philosophical heritage they convey.

She teaches during regular classes and internships, directs a Bollywood dance company and choreographs for the cinema (Netflix). In India and France, she collaborates with digital artist Avishaï Léger-Tangier, revisiting traditional Indian themes with a contemporary approach.
