Flor CAPO

(E/A) Flamenco

A graduate of the Jacques Lecoq International School, a school of movement, Flor Capo trained since childhood with the great gypsy-Andalusian masters of flamenco.

She has taught flamenco dance since 1999 in Paris and participated in numerous shows: In 2001 “Terre Mêlées” at the Dejazet theater, Théâtre du Gymnase, Institut du Monde Arabe. From 2002 to 2007 with “Sweet Flamenca”, “Una noche un dia ” and “Minina Camina” by the Eva Luna Company, she performs at the Avignon festval, at the Café de la Danse, and at the Kiron space.

In 2000, she created her dance company “Azulejos” which offers traditional flamenco shows as well as creations. The last three creations are “Chant Flamenco” in 2007,” Femmes Jasmin” (Flamenco- Bharata-natyam) in 2012, and “From Persia to Andalusia” (Flamenco- Persian music) in 2015.

Her passion for teaching dance makes her develop a very global pedagogy of “body together”, (dance - singing - rhythm), which makes the work, especially with children, much more interactive and lively.
