About the Choir “Canto Do Marais”
Choir directed by Lanna Zita et Caroline Faber, open to all with no limit on the number of participants, in our beautiful Beethoven room!
A choir that allows for group work (polyphony, polyrhythm) around a vast Brazilian repertoire with some strolls in the Caribbean basin, Africa, India, elsewhere... The choristers are accompanied by the piano, the cavaquinho (Brazilian 4-string guitar) or percussion, but also sing a capella.
For 11 years, Canto do Marais has been meeting every Sunday in a good mood, around a magnificent repertoire… In June 2024, Caroline and Lanna published the method collection Brazilian my chorus, Brazilian singing with Canto do Marais, a great way to keep a memory of past works… or those to come.

– approximately two public performances are organized during the year.
