Flamenco is an individual dance guided by the feelings and the talents of improvisation of the interpreter which in general is characterized by a typical gesture where the feet hit the ground marking the rhythmic cycle (sound game that we call the zapateado), while the upper body rises towards the sky and draws arabesques with the arms and hands (gesture called the braceo).
Improvisation, of course, but narrowly channeled by precise rules. The most important being the absolute respect of the "Compass" and the perfect mastery of the attitudes and gestures specific to each dance.
