Improvisation – Voice – Body – Classical and Modern Texts
French – English – Spanish – Italian

After the Conservatory of the XNUMXth arrondissement, and English studies at the Sorbonne, I received a complete and diversified training as an actor at theParis School of Dramatic Arts (theater, song, dance), where I direct today the “playing in English” workshop. Previously, I had the chance to lead a real research laboratory, made up of international student-actors for five years in a university residence. I also taught theater in schools, and I train at the BAFA as part of deepening courses in expression. I finally give lessons and put on shows at the Marais dance center since 2006.

I invite you to share the answers that all these experiences have given me and to raise new questions concerning the involvement of our human stories and their power of universality.

Description of the courses

My pedagogy would be a puzzle. The plays would gradually reveal the mysterious contours of acting, of its demands for theatrical amplitude, but sincerity; of intuition but of intelligence; of presence but of humility; respect for instructions but insolence; realism but poetry, abstraction, madness; finally, his work demands on space, time, rhythm, memory, intimacy, fragility, necessity...

General program:

  • Improvisation
  • Classical and modern texts. Poetry. Alexandrians
  • Unpublished texts, and off-repertoire
  • work on camera
  • Comedy. Drama. Tragedy
  • Stand up. one man show
  • poetic clown
  • Body expression (the poetry of the body)
  • Breathing, diction, articulation, voice pose
  • Relaxation

All this within the framework of a curious, positive, playful, benevolent and, I hope, relevant study.

Lessons for all levels

The trial lesson costs 20 euros. There are a dozen students per group. Classes are also available for children/teenagers.

Typical lesson: A ritualized placement and a warm-up, allow you to gently wake up to the game, to create group energy and to make yourself available. This approach is often accompanied by technical work on the voice, and/or active relaxation.

Directed exercises then lead us to leave the protection of the group and to venture a little or a lot.

Finally, we look at a text, or approach improvisation. The preliminary work will often have been directed towards this outcome.

A project comes to crown our annual work: a creation with a writer present in the group, or the staging of an author's text, or an improvisation show, or the production of a short film , all this with the possible help of a scenographer, musicians… I also organize improvisation matches, theatrical or cinematographic outings. Finally, I provide private lessons, coach professional artists (actors, dancers, singers), and prepare for competitions, interviews (etc.), on request. »
